Applying the film to both sides further increases the optical density and effectively doubles the level of protection. The laser protection film is suitable for easy self-installation and is available in various fixed dimensions. A squeegee is included with every order for optimal, bubble-free application. When using laser systems, window surfaces in laboratories, manufacturing facilities, or operating rooms must be reliably protected against the escape of direct laser radiation or scattered light to safeguard external areas. This is especially important for infrared laser systems, as their radiation is invisible to the human eye and therefore poses an increased risk.
For these applications, laservision has qualified a blue-absorbing plastic film specifically designed for retrofitting laser protection. Its primary application is the retrofitting of windows and glass doors in laboratories, production environments, and operating rooms.
The P5P26 laser protection film offers a daylight transmission of approximately 42%, thus enabling good residual light transmission while simultaneously providing effective laser protection. The marking is done exclusively via OD values (optical density), thus ensuring a clear and standard-compliant assessment of the protective effect.
