When installing in the laser system, it must be ensured that the edge of the laser protection screen is mounted or encased in a lightproof fashion. The active laser safety window offers greater safety in the automatic, unsupervised operation of high-power laser systems. If laser radiation hits the disk with sufficient power, it is coupled onto the sensor integrated in the disk. As a result, the laser is switched off immediately before dangerous radiation can escape through the window.
The elimination of the frame makes integration even easier, e.g. in a machine housing. This makes it possible for the first time to integrate this technology into the existing design concept of the machine or machining center.
