Rapid advancement of medical laser technology is making laser safety more important now than ever before. Laser applications in the medical field are mainly based on the excellent focusability and the high power density of the beam. According to this knowledge the protection of patients becomes more and more important. It is important to distinguish if the eyewear includes a filter or if the eyewear is completely closed. The first variation enables the patients to see during the treatment. The filter hat defined protections areas therefore it cannot be used with every laser and/or wavelength. The second variation, without filter, enables the use with every laser (according to the protection levels). Due to the missing sight it often is a problem for patients with fear.
laservision rises to this challenge and offers with its models P01 and P07 two different patient eyewear. Both glasses consist of a special silicon which distinguishes high laser protection. Against all other common metal eyewear, this material offers an additional wearing comfort and conveys a very high safety feeling due to the fact that the metal does heat up during the laser impact.
The P07 with its asymmetrical nose bridge and the special shape of the side bars features high flexibility during treatment. The accessibility of the forehead / nose area and the temple area is made considerably easier. The P07 however features high flexibility during the treatment.
The P01 can be combined with different laser safety filters as well as with an metal insert. The special highlight of the new P01 patient protection eyewear glasses from laservision are the exchangeable, orange-colored nose bridges. They ensure a perfect fit for almost all eye positions, head and face sizes and shapes, and can especially be used for children.
With the Premium Line, Patient Eyewear made of Titanium, the product portfolio in the area of patient protection for medical laser treatments has been expanded. In addition to the high laser resistance, the titanium eye caps are nickel-free (nickel discharge tested according to EN 11885: 2009-09) and have immunological neutrality. They can be sterilized and autoclaved. There are 3 different versions in the Premium Line. The classic P11 with firmly attached but flexible titanium temple, the special P12 with a one-hand length adjustable titanium temple and the P13 eye caps. These allow individual flexibility and are used without a nose bridge. All eye caps are identical and are additionally equipped with easily exchangeable silicone rings (A99SRING). These can be reordered afterwards in 25 pairs.
