Photo dynamic therapies (IPL. intense pulsed light) during dental and dermatological treatments require an appropriate eye protection, either for the patients or for the medical personnel.
Besides the common flash light sources i.e. xenon-based light, also high power LEDs are used within different applications. At a filtered or narrow-banded emission spectrum also laser safety spectacles with broadband filters can be used. According to the application and power spectrum different attenuation is required. In the majority of cases the medical assistances wear weak filters than the patients.
laservision offers novel IPL-filters on a basis of grey absorbing dye. Against the common dark green absorbers within this application area “welding” the grey filters are characterized with a very good color view. These spectacles are available with different attenuations.
